Self-Harm Interventions for Clients with Eating Disorders
September 25 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am PDT
Join Margot Rittenhouse, MS, LPCC, for a webinar on “Self-Harm Interventions for Clients with Eating Disorders.” The webinar begins Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 9:00 AM PT/ 11:00 AM CT/ 12:00 PM ET. We are offering 1 CE hour through APA, CDR, and NBCC for live attendance.
Abstract:
Alsana has standardized our language and definition of self-harm behaviors. Working with our clinical teams in all levels of eating disorder treatment, we created alignment across clinical roles and disciplines on the definition, conceptualization, and interventions utilized with clients who engage in Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) behaviors. This presentation will showcase how clinical teams can work together to treat NSSI symptomology, identify risk factors and symptoms, and implement appropriate interventions for your clients. We’ll also share resources for your teams to reference when working with clients who have episodes of NSSI.
Objectives:
– Define Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) and give examples
– Identify risk factors and warning signs for NSSI
– Identify interventions to treat NSSI
