About Laura Jaramillo, LCPC
Laura Jaramillo (she/her) is a Self Love Wellness Advocate, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Registered Hatha and Kundalini Yoga Teacher. She has been working in the field of counseling since graduating from Purdue University with a degree in psychology in 2006. After completing her master’s in community counseling she worked inpatient, outpatient, and residential.
Specialized areas of focus are eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, body image issues, self-injurious behaviors, areas of self-esteem, stress management, difficulty adjusting to change, and communication issues.
Laura’s therapeutic approach is warm, accepting, interactive, and collaborative. She tailors treatment to meet a client’s individual needs through a variety of treatment modalities; some of which include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic/Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Behavioral Modifications.
